FAQ

  • Is this the yoga for me if I have a health concern?

Our teachers all modify yoga practices to meet our students exactly as they are, always. If you prefer a private space with dedicated attention, we also offer Private Yoga Sessions.

In aiming for preventing cancer, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, or other conditions connected to chronic inflammation, an inward gentle yoga practice can activate the body’s ability to heal.

Activating the parasympathetic nervous system switches our body + mind from fight / flight / freeze to rest / digest, giving us a chance to reintegrate calm, and providing an opportunity to breathe.

We understand that while we all share a common human experience, we do not share the same economic experience. Provide when able and/or receive support as needed.

  • What do I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothing is great! Yoga practitioners from India and around the world have worn airy 100% cotton casual “loungewear” for multiple thousands of years.

The idea is to wear something that breathes and is easy to move gently around in and soft enough to relax in.

No need to buy expensive workout spandex — we don’t need more consumerism to truly practice Yoga.

Park your car behind our building via the alley, in the east lot on 61st ST one block south of Maple, at the clinic south of our building outside of their operating hours, and free street parking is available on the main strip and in the neighborhoods.
