[Annie Brugenhemke photoAnnie Brugenhemke (ERYT 200) began the study of yoga in 1996 in Taos, New Mexico where she was introduced to pranayama. After returning to the Omaha area later that year, her pursuit of yoga as a discipline became solidified. Styles of practice have included Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Kundalini and eclectic forms of vinyasa. She became certified at Sivananda Yoga Farm in 2002 and also holds a certification from the esteemed method of Stott Pilates. In the Spring of 2009 she completed the first level of Radiant Child yoga training at Omaha Yoga and Bodywork Center. In addition, she graduated from UNO with a bachelors degree in fine art in 1992. Currently she is exploring the fusion of asana, cross-cultural movement and creative expression and is also involved in yoga for children. She is passionate about the celebration of life through movement and the power of breath to harness our human potential.
