Mantra Yoga/Kirtan and Chanting

Mondays, 6:30–8:00 pm, ongoing (donations accepted)

An ancient devotional practice, Mantra Yoga celebrates and heals the individual, the community, and the world through Sanskrit prayers and songs of praise.

Please come for Satsanga on Monday evenings and join the very dedicated group that has been chanting at the OYBC for over two years. "Satsanga" (community of truth-seekers) is a daily and very powerful part of Ashram life all over the world.

Omprakash, on leave from Sivananda Ashram in Rishikesh, India, will offer notes, translations and helpful tips from scriptures but the emphasis will be on the group practice. We pray, sing Kirtan and chant Mantra Yoga in the beautiful Sanskrit language to overcome the limitations of mundane consciousness, opening to the Light, the Sound, the Vibration of Absolute Divinity. Each practice, also perfect for personal Sadhana, is especially powerful in the supportive energy of a devoted group. Om Tat Sat!
