In one client’s words:
“I was skeptical of Bowen at first, because I’d never heard of it. However, I found Bowen less invasive and more effective than other therapies. I was impressed with how quickly I began to feel pain relief from the Bowen method.” - S.C.
CLIENT STORY USING YOGA AND BOWEN THERAPY:
“In my recovery from mono and chronic fatigue Bowen therapy was a turning point. By reducing the stress in my body I was able to get meaningful rest and sleep. I also had a severe pain in my left shoulder. I had gone thru a lot of massage therapy that made it good for 48 hours. If I have any problems with it now, yoga and stretches work. Bowen Therapy combined with my practice of yoga, calmed down my nervous system. I've been able to integrate the restorative effects of the Bowen. Combined with the yoga, I continue to have energy and have regained my focus with life again. Recently I went on a 23 mile bike ride and felt great!”
- D.W.
Jamaica Jane:
"I’m a runner and on the go. I usually drive fast, even when I don’t have to be in a hurry. During my Bowen Therapy Stress Management Session I experienced energy in my body during the waits. Following the session I noticed how SLOW and relaxed I was driving. I felt like I had just returned from Jamaica!"
- J.F., Education Administration and Runner

Art making is a uniquely human activity but many refrain from it, believing they lack creativity. Like any activity worth cultivating, art requires practice.
Art journaling is a playful and safe way to tap into the wellspring of creativity we were all born with while also offering a new tool for self-exploration. In this workshop we will discuss the uses and possibilities of art journals; create a personalized art journal; begin a series of affirmation cards; discuss and start mini-inspiration boards. A deeply satisfying practice
in itself, art journaling can be insightful, liberating and stimulating. Exercise your creative muscles and have fun in the process.
Pre-Registration is required as some specialized materials will be provided by the instructor (cost included in class fee). A list of basic materials (scissors, glue stick, etc.) will be sent out upon registration.
Strategies for Making Successful Life Transitions
with Marissa McMillin CHHC
Saturday, September 19th 2 - 4pm, $20
Does the thought of major life change really stress you out? In this workshop, we will discuss strategies for making successful life transitions, focusing on the individual's ability to grow and make desired changes while also creating a healthy lifestyle. For those who assume transition has to be stressful, this will be an opportunity to view the ways in which transition can be invigorating and deeply fulfilling.
Join me to get some perspective on how to best prepare yourself for transitions and how to maximize them as opportunities for growth and change. During this workshop I will review the four stages involved in keeping yourself present and aware during a life transition. The stages are informed by practices that include affirmative thinking, determining one's mission, resolving emotional contrast, and getting organized to take action. See how each of these “stages” ties in with one another, and get a holistic look at how they will benefit you to get you where you want to go!
